Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at HR Genie. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cloud security expertise to build out and maintain resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available, enterprise-scale public cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and deliver systems on AWS platforms, including data security and IAM.
  • Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools.
  • Understand and implement cloud security technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years' experience in infrastructure, software development, DevOps, or security.
  • 4+ years' experience in designing and implementing highly available, enterprise-scale public cloud infrastructure.
  • 3+ years' experience in AWS with a focus on data, security, and IAM.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience developing and supporting infrastructure and cloud security capabilities for microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience working with CI/CD technologies, such as GitLab and GitHub.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization technologies and protocols, including LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Experience working with scripting and provisioning and IAC tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience in AWS with a focus on networking.
  • Experience in a financial services or banking organization.
  • Infrastructure security.
  • Experience in engineering data pipelines using Big Data technologies, such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Storm, etc.
  • Experience with ELK, New Relic, or similar on public cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, EKS.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment (Atlassian Stack).
  • Experience working with various database technologies, including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, RedShift, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience working with Vault/Secret platforms, such as Hashicorp.

Education:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in AWS Foundation or Cloud Computing.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of at least one high-level programming language, such as GoLang,.net, Java, or Python.
  • Advanced scripting skills in at least one interpreted language, such as Bash or PowerShell.
  • Design and deployment of highly available, enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • Advance knowledge of infrastructure concepts, technologies, and patterns, including SDLC and IaC.
  • Practical, working knowledge of developing and delivering systems on AWS platforms, supporting and enhancing build and release processes through automation, understanding cloud security technologies and best practices, and understanding networking in cloud environments.
