We are seeking a highly skilled Protein Expression and Purification Scientist to join our team at Pronel Personnel in Durban, South Africa.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for expressing proteins in a bioreactor environment, utilizing their expertise in protein expression and purification systems, including mammalian and bacterial cell culture experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Masters degree in Biotechnology or related field; PhD preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in GMP or biotechnology environments
- Successful track record in biotechnology R&D project management
- Broad experience in complex formulation analysis
- Strong understanding of protein expression and purification systems
- Ability to transfer methods and data to other laboratories
- Prior experience in plasma-derived therapeutic proteins is a plus
