CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and preventative maintenance work, services, and equipment of all facilities in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage, delegate and carry out electrical maintenance and preventative maintenance as well as new electrical installations.
  • Oversee mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance as well as new mechanical installations on all facilities.
  • Manage all electrical and mechanical tasks related to projects.
  • Supervise staff and ensure effective team management.
  • Provide advice to supervisors regarding all electrical and mechanical work.
  • Manage all works requisitions, job cards, and administration duties daily.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupation Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Have a good understanding of maintenance and preventative maintenance building infrastructures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Larger Buildings and Services infrastructure.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Good knowledge of supervising personnel.
  • Good knowledge of reading, writing, and calculation of technical data.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Good knowledge of building plans and specifications.
REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • N6 certificate.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • Be registered as an Installation Electrician with the relevant authorities.
  • 3-5 years trade-related work experience.
  • Relevant proven management or supervisory experience.
  • Code 8 drivers license (Category B).
  • Mechanical experience and any relevant related courses will be advantageous.
