Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Recoveries Portfolio Manager at Santam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of an outsourced recoveries portfolio.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of new handovers to attorneys.
  2. Appointment of external service providers and provision of access to Santam's systems.
  3. Effective diary management in terms of AJS or Claims Center (Claims System).
  4. Ad hoc tasks related to the validation and updating of Management Info.
  5. Broker and client enquiry management.
  6. Note updating on the operating system (AJS/Claims center).
  7. Claims profile and segment updating.
  8. Liaison with brokers, administrators, underwriting and other relevant parties to the claims process.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the insurance industry specifically pertaining to subrogation recoveries and indemnities.
  • Legal Secretary or Para-Legal qualification (advantage).
  • Civil Litigation Process knowledge (advantage).
