The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Insurance Sales Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for cold calling, marketing, and selling our tracking applications and solutions to the insurance channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Cold call, market, and sell Netstar tracking applications and solutions to the insurance channel.
- Prospect and target new insurance customers to increase market share.
- Manage and increase the pipeline by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
- Achieve or exceed allocated sales targets as set out by management.
- Build relationships with insurers, insurance brokers, underwriting managers, and administrators.
- Generate and increase sales and fitments of Netstar units and services.
- Deliver efficient and effective service to both internal and external clients.
- Stay up-to-date on competing markets and provide reports on market movement, prospective sales opportunities, and penetration.
- Complete sales reports in a timely manner and update the CRM daily with all relevant activities.
- Network to improve Netstar's presence, reputation, and sales in the insurance segment.
- Maintain accurate and timeous records and claiming of commissions.
- Share knowledge with colleagues on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs.
Requirements
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification.
- 2-4 years direct sales experience.
- Own vehicle and cellphone essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
