The Trainee Buyer for Men's and Boyswear will play a key role in selecting, sourcing, and purchasing products that cater to the company's target market while aligning with its brand values. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to identify and select high-quality menswear and boyswear products that meet the brand's identity and customer preferences.
  • Support market research efforts to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and potential new brands.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the logistics team to ensure timely stock replenishment based on performance and seasonal demand.
  • Work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure product offerings match sales and promotional strategies.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, best-sellers, and slow-moving items, adjusting the buying strategy accordingly.
  • Attend relevant fashion events, supplier meetings, and trade shows to stay informed on industry trends and product offerings.
  • Ensure all selected products meet the company's quality standards and are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and buying strategies to senior buyers and management.
