About the Role

  1. We are looking for a highly skilled and registered Emergency Care Practitioner with a minimum of 2 years of operational road ambulance and ICU transfer experience.
  2. A valid Code C1 Drivers Licence with PrDP is essential for this role.
  3. Strong ACLS, PALS, and ITLS skills or equivalent certifications are required.
  4. Competence in CPG updates if qualified before 2019 is also necessary.
  5. Safety consciousness and a strong sense of teamwork are essential attributes for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. This role involves working as an Operational Paramedic on helicopter, fixed-wing, and ground ambulance, ensuring quality improvement, control of medical equipment, medications, and supplies.
  2. Responsibilities include operational related functions, training, general administration, data-capturing, and participating in flight coordination and other duties as required.
  3. Hoist operator/rescue training and operations may be part of normal duties.
  4. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively in culturally diverse environments and demonstrate flexibility with changing requirements regarding working hours and days.
  5. Active participation in clinical, safety, and quality improvement is expected.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • South African citizenship is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of operational road ambulance and ICU transfer experience is required.
