Key Responsibilities:

  • Municipal Revenue Operations: Oversee the management of municipal revenue, ensure timely payments, and handle queries.
  • Creditors Management: Manage the list of accounts, oversee municipal clerks, and supervise the process for council pre-paid accounts.
  • Utilities Recovery: Oversee the recovery of basic charges and assist with any reporting required by the Head of Department.
  • Accruals and Budgets: Review annual utility accruals, budget for annual performance, and ensure correct bookkeeping of credit allocations.

Requirements:

  • Education: 3-year tertiary qualification in Accounting/Related field.
  • Experience: Senior Creditors Clerk/Team Leader experience required to supervise staff.
