The ideal applicant will possess the following:

1. Qualified Artisan Mechanic
2. Valid code EC (or EC1 0.4 or C) driver's license and PrDP
3. Experience in maintenance of heavy duty vehicles.
4. Experience in servicing and repairing automotive components
5. Auto Electrical experience an advantage

Job Outputs

The EE Senior Commercial Vehicle Workshop Foreman will be responsible for:

1. Coordinate and implement vehicle fleet maintenance activities.
2. Control vehicle fleet activities.
3. Ensure optimal human resource utilization.
4. Compile reports for management information.
5. Manage subordinates.
6. Ensure optimal vehicle availability on a daily basis.
7. Ensuring roadworthiness of vehicles.
8. Ensure after hours support is given to all service technicians
9. Ensure Service department budget is upheld

Competencies

The successful candidate will possess the following competencies:

1. Knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry.
2. Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
3. Knowledge of the workshop procedures.
4. Knowledge of the company's disciplinary policies and procedures
