Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Analyse routes, payloads, and utilisation to optimise productivity and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.
  • Manage departmental expenditure, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets.
  • Supervise distribution staff, addressing non-conformances and implementing improvements.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring all vehicles are serviced regularly and licensing is up to date.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Matric or Grade 12 / NQF 4 learning ability.
  • Degree/Diploma in logistics or transport management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, with experience in SAP an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in logistics.
  • Strong administrative and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
