Position Overview:
Deliver high-quality technical support to Advania's customers using our data platforms service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical assistance to end users focusing on data platforms and services.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer queries.
  • Manage incidents or requests allocated to you or the team ticket queue, ensuring professional resolution or escalation.
  • Apply accurate troubleshooting techniques and ask targeted questions.
  • Contribute fully as an active team member and achieve personal and team objectives.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to junior members of the Data Platforms team.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and peers.
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills to exceed customer expectations.
  • Report potential client-facing risks and customer feedback.
  • Develop a personal development plan with your line manager.
  • Undertake assigned tasks by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Microsoft Azure SQL support knowledge is essential.
  • You should have strong knowledge of database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience deploying SQL Server IaaS and Azure data services components (Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, Data Factory) is required.
  • You must be proficient in AlwaysOn Availability configuration design and implementation, Failover clustering, log shipping, replication, etc., for HA and DR database service technologies in IaaS and PaaS (Azure-based) SQL deployments.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance is necessary.
  • Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect sensitive information.
  • Identify and resolve database performance issues like slow queries, inefficient indexing, or resource contention.
  • Conduct database capacity planning to anticipate future storage and performance needs.
  • Implement and maintain database monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of database systems, including schema, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and security compliance for management and stakeholders.

Hybrid Working:

This hybrid role, emphasizing remote work, requires being in the office or at a client site for 4 days each month. Each team decides how to implement this policy. If you have questions after applying, please reach out to our recruitment team.
