About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Solar PV Electrician. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in solar panel installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install solar panels on roofs or ground mounts according to design plans
  • Install electrical wiring and components including inverters, combiners, and charge controllers
  • Secure and connect solar panels to the electrical grid
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality
Maintenance and Repair:
  • Regularly inspect solar panels for damage or debris
  • Clean solar panels to optimize energy production
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues within the system
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on system components
Requirements:
  • Relevant Electrical Trade qualification
  • Valid wireman's license issued by the Department of Labour (DoL) in South Africa
  • Registered Electrician / Master Electrician with the DOL will be advantageous
  • PV Green card advantageous
  • PV Courses advantageous
