MECS Africa is seeking a strategic leader to oversee all aspects of the Chrome Wash Plant, driving production, safety, and quality excellence. As Plant Manager, you will lead teams, develop strategies, and foster innovation to meet our operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Excellence: Lead plant operations to achieve production, safety, and quality targets
- Strategic Planning: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Leadership and Development: Oversee plant personnel, budgets, maintenance, and supply chain coordination
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards
- Performance Analysis: Analyze plant performance data and report to senior leadership
- Capital Projects: Manage capital projects, upgrades, and long-term operational planning
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in mineral processing, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Solid knowledge of Chrome processing (gravity separation, DMS, spirals)
- Strong leadership, financial management, and plant optimization skills
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational KPIs
