The South African National Blood Service is seeking a qualified Relief Blood Transfusion Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine testing functions in Blood Banks, including compatibility and postnatal investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood group typing and compatibility testing
  • Conduct preliminary transfusion reaction investigations

Requirements:

  • Overtime as required
  • Night shift and weekend duties as rostered
  • Occasional local and national travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Blood Transfusion)
  • Experience in blood banking and transfusion medicine
