The Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Hand to join our team at Hale Hostel in Coolbellup. As a permanent part-time employee, you will work 21 hours per fortnight, split across two weeks with specific shifts from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm Tuesday to Thursday.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for preparing, plating, and serving meals, as well as providing assistance in the kitchen, including making salads, baking cookies and bread, and other tasks as required. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will ensure seamless delivery of our culinary services.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in hospitality service roles, preferably as a kitchen hand in an aged care/hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet deadlines in accordance with routines and schedules
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinations (including Booster if eligible)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and reference checks
