Learning and Development Specialist

A Learning and Development Specialist is required to facilitate training, assess theoretical modules, and perform administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities:- Facilitation: Design and deliver short courses and full learnership qualifications
- Assessment: Evaluate theoretical modules and qualifications (if applicable)
- Administration: Oversee various administrative tasks related to learning and development
- Vocational qualification as per QCTO requirements (one subject level higher than being facilitated)
- Facilitation qualifications or equivalent
- ODETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Development Practices) qualification or equivalent (advantageous)
- 3-5 years' experience in a relevant vocational field
- 3-5 years' experience in HRD / Training and Development field
- 3-5 years' experience in Learning and Development within OBE SETA and/or NQF context
- Understanding of SETA, QCTO & SAQA principles
- Familiarity with education, training, and development concepts
- Ability to implement legislative requirements (e.g., SDA, SDLA, OHSA)
- Capacity to identify, quality assure, and assess theoretical modules
- Effective presentation and delivery of training modules
- Good facilitation and presentation skills
- Liaison with all levels of the organization
- High-level computer literacy
- Certified and registered assessor (where/when applicable)
- Extended hours work (when necessary) for task completion
- High pressure tolerance
- Ability to climb stairs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Good eyesight
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capability to work with learners with disabilities
