We are a leading recruitment agency, DataTech Recruitment, dedicated to finding the best talent for our clients. Our latest opportunity is for a Senior C#.Net Developer to join our client's team in Cape Town.

Salary: Up to R75 000 per month

About the Role:

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: Hybrid in Cape Town

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide assistance and support for internal and external inquiries related to systems and software.
  2. Ensure the reliability of system components and oversee the deployment of new features.
  3. Take ownership of software issues and collaborate with development teams to address complex challenges.
  4. Independently document troubleshooting processes and resolution steps.
  5. Engage with diverse teams and individuals across all levels of the organization.
  6. Conduct in-depth analysis of bugs and database issues.
  7. Configure and maintain in-house schedules and scripting.
  8. Implement and automate processes to improve operational efficiency.
  9. Provide valuable input on the best use of technology to enhance business operations.
  10. Ensure that application solutions are agile and flexible to meet current and future business needs.
  11. Oversee the design, development, and sustainability of in-house applications, including SDLC, change control, and performance planning.
  12. Manage the integration and sustainability of hosted or procured applications.
  13. Apply governance and compliance principles to protect the organization's interests, including risk management and security protocols.
  14. Serve as a technical partner and peer mentor to colleagues.

Requirements:

  1. A relevant tertiary IT degree or diploma.
  2. 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Communication Foundation (MCF), C#.Net, T-SQL (Stored procedures, etc.).
  3. Experience with Web Services/API integrations.
  4. Familiarity with SSIS and SSRS is a plus.
  5. Experience with MS SharePoint is beneficial.
  6. Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus.
  7. Experience with Source Code Management (MS Team Foundation Server).
  8. Exposure to system architecture and technical design.
  9. Experience working in complex team environments, including multi-tier solutions with in-house and external partners.
  10. Working knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in the retail sector, is an advantage.
