Automotive Paint Specialist

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various paint types, application techniques, and safety standards. Your strong knowledge of paint systems, surface preparation, and finishing techniques will enable you to deliver high-quality results.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately R250,000 per annum, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12/Senior Certificate and a trade-tested Spray Painting qualification. Proven experience as a Spray Painter in the automotive industry is essential, as is your ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming;
• Mixing and matching paints and coatings to achieve desired colors and finishes;
• Operating spray painting equipment and tools safely and efficiently;
• Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes using spray techniques;
• Inspecting finished work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications;
• Maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition; and
• FOLLOWING SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND MAINTAINING A CLEAN WORK ENVIRONMENT.
