Main Responsibilities

  • Supplier Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of steel and media buyout filter categories to evaluate suppliers' performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Foster transparent and trusting relationships with key suppliers through open communication and collaboration.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Engage suppliers early in product development or packaging design processes to leverage their expertise for cost-effective outcomes.
  • Strategy Development: Lead the development, implementation, and review of procurement strategies for the category spend area.
  • Sourcing Excellence: Research and identify innovative procurement solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage sourcing projects, negotiate price agreements, and oversee contract terms to optimize commercial benefits.
  • Progress Updates: Provide monthly updates on key projects to Procurement Manager and Director.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Three years tertiary qualification in Procurement or similar field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement environment with exposure to category management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE, and other core tools; Strong skills in supplier relations management, project management, and negotiations.
  • Behavioral Traits: Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, task-oriented behavior, assertiveness, and motivation.
