This role requires leading safe space operations and supervising community teams. The successful candidate will provide professional counselling services to programme beneficiaries.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and support community team members to ensure they meet their daily responsibilities.
  2. Coordinate safe space operations and implement daily activities.
  3. Develop a daily schedule of safe space activities.
  4. Screen and provide guidance and counselling to adolescents experiencing psychosocial challenges.
  5. Attend local stakeholders' meetings.
  6. Deliver orientation training to community team members.
  7. Compile monthly and quarterly community component reports.

Essential Requirements:

  1. A relevant 4-year Bachelor's degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
  2. Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
  3. At least 5 years of experience in social work involving case management after registration as a Social Worker with SACSSP.
  4. Experience working with Adolescents and Youth programmes.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  7. Leadership and teamwork abilities.
  8. Understanding of human behaviour, social systems, and intervention techniques.
  9. Empowerment and people management skills.
  10. Information management and programme management skills.
