We are looking for a motivated and skilled professional to assist in the design and development of unmanned aircraft systems. This role involves contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle, including flight test data reduction and analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and analyzing unmanned systems and components
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes
  • Performing simulations and engineering analyses, including basic structural analysis
  • Participating in testing and validation activities, including preparing test plans, executing tests, and analyzing results
  • Developing software for flight test data reduction and other applications using Python
  • Preparing technical reports, drawings, and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations during all project phases

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications and Professional Licenses
  • A BSc degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering is required
Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is necessary
Skills and Proficiencies
  • Proficiency in CAD and Python programming is essential
  • Familiarity with simulation tools is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts is required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration are required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in research and documentation are essential

  • Own transport is required
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment is necessary

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
