Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales and Operations Manager to join our team at Mr Price Home in Canal Walk, Cape Town. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of store associates and driving sales growth through effective leadership and customer service strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Motivate and lead a team of store associates, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Evaluate and improve the overall shopping experience by implementing new ideas and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet or exceed sales targets and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment, while minimizing stock losses and ensuring accurate stock counts.
  • Maintain an appealing store layout and product displays to attract and engage customers.
  • Support the training and development of team members to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or operational issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards, while promoting a culture of safety among staff.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Grade 12 qualification.
  • 3 years' experience in retail, with 3 years' management experience advantageous.
  • Sales & service management skills.
  • Budgeting skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong communication and business understanding of the retail trade, brand, customer, and product.
