About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join our team at Boardroom Appointments. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Conduct iterative and adaptive planning and monitoring tasks to estimate, organize, and coordinate business analysis efforts on large and complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct elicitation and collaboration tasks to obtain information from stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and engagement throughout the discovery and delivery process.
  • Requirements Management: Conduct requirements analysis and design definition to structure, organize, specify, and model requirements and designs, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
  • Strategy Development: Conduct strategy analysis to define the future and transition states needed to address business needs, and develop solutions to drive business growth and success.
  • Solution Evaluation: Conduct solution evaluation to assess the performance of and value delivered by solutions, and eliminate barriers and constraints that prevent the full realization of value.
  • Agile Methodologies: Execute according to IIBA best practices, agile product delivery, and lean principles based on delivery approach as per the business analysis methods, frameworks, standards, tools, techniques, competencies, and practices.
  • Requirements Documentation: Analyze and document requirements based on changes to users, interfaces, processes, data flows, constraints, environments, and non-functional requirements.
  • Portfolio Alignment: Understand the portfolio's strategic themes, product roadmap, vision, KPIs, and metrics, and align requirements accordingly.
  • Program and Team Backlog: Understand all elements of the program and team backlog and align requirements accordingly.
  • Opportunity Identification: Explore and articulate the opportunity or problem to be solved, and identify stakeholder wants and needs, and participate in defining the proposed solution.
  • Visual Modeling: Use visual diagrams and collaborative games to model scope, interfaces, story context, data flows, processes, retrospectives, and dependencies across projects.
  • Requirements Decomposition: Decompose and document epics, features, themes, hypothesis statements, PI objectives, and user stories by identifying gaps, missing stories, and acceptance criteria, scenario development, and all requirement categories.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate and co-create process and capability alignment by pairing with the Product Engineer and Business Architect.
  • Impediment Management: Support the team in working on impediments and spikes, and synthesize data to articulate requirements.
  • Test Case Development: Work with development and QA to identify test cases and scenarios, conduct user acceptance testing, and train the trainer/user and support change management commercialization.
  • Backlog Refinement: Conduct and participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, WSJF, and increment planning, and drive DevOps and built-in quality principles.
  • Data Requirements: Analyze and document data requirements and model data flows through all seven product dimensions on a solution or program level by pairing with Business Data Managers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster stakeholder relationships and engagement for discovery and delivery, backlog refinement, dependencies, and enterprise delivery up to senior level.
  • System Demos: Conduct system demos and contribute to I&A and offer and implement suggestions for improvement.
  • Ceremonies: Actively participate and lead program/squad ceremonies by pairing with Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Product Owners, and BITE Owners.
  • Minimum Viable Thinking: Drive minimum viable thinking, continuous deployment, and integration.
  • Waste Reduction: Ensure early remediation by reducing waste, rework, identifying risks, and issues.

Requirements

  • Advanced Diplomas/National: Advanced diplomas or national certifications in business analysis or a related field.
  • Business Analysis Certification: Certificate in business analysis endorsed by IIBA.
  • Safe Certification: Safe certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience, with a proven track record of managing multiple IT projects and exposure to complex projects, business exposure, and industry exposure.
  • Guiding Others: Guiding others on how to effectively use common techniques, demonstrating skilled proficiency descriptors.
  • Technical/Professional Knowledge: Wealth management or financial services technical and professional knowledge, research methodology, BA Body of Knowledge, business writing skills, agile concepts, data and business analysis, process engineering skills, global business analysis trends, and business analysis discipline, techniques, and practices.
