Academic Literacy Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Academic Literacy to join our team at the University of Fort Hare.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to research and curriculum design, development, and implementation in Academic Literacy
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Academic Literacy
- Meet research publication requirements for academic rank of lecturer level
- Supervise students in Honours and Masters research
- Secure research grants
- Participate in networking and collaborations in research and/or teaching
- Participate in mentorship programs
- Engage in community outreach and engagement integrated with teaching or research
- Perform administrative duties in the department
- Relevant Masters degree and registration for doctoral degree
- At least 1 year of experience in higher education or qualification/courses in school or higher education teaching and learning
- Undergraduate teaching experience in Academic Literacy or related area
- Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding
- Relevant Doctoral degree
- Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
- Evidence of postgraduate teaching or supervision experience
- Evidence of accredited research publications
- Evidence of successful fundraising for research
- Evidence of participation in networking and collaboration in research and/or teaching
- Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research
