We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Overseer to join our team at Info Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mines and maintaining high levels of safety and productivity.

Salary

R115 000.00 per month

Job Responsibilities

As a Mine Overseer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Mine Manager and ensuring all documentations are legally compliant
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to
  • Ensuring legal working place examinations are conducted regularly
  • Implementing relevant emergency procedures and equipment
  • Issuing safety instructions to line managers
  • Conducting follow-up inspections to ensure sub-standards are rectified
  • Inspecting workings to ensure legal compliance
  • Preparing operation plans and schedules
  • Ensuring standards and procedures are understood by Operations Supervisors
  • Directing Area Resource Specialists for technical support
  • Labor planning and managing absentees, leaves, and sick leaves
  • Supporting overall Business Planning
  • Investigating and reporting on incidents/injuries

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Mine Overseers Certificate for scheduled mines
  • A Mining Degree or Diploma
  • A Blasting Certificate
  • 5 years' experience in a metalliferous mine
