Main Accountabilities
  • Water Resource Management: Provide expertise in integrated water resource management, water resource protection, and water use authorisation.
  • Policy Development: Develop, update, maintain, and provide training on policies, legislation, protocols, and guidelines for water use authorisation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate stakeholder engagement relationships within the department and broader water sector, providing technical advice on water use authorization related enquiries.
  • Research and Supervision: Participate in the assessment of water resource management research needs for the directorate, ensure implementation of research projects, and supervise sub-component of the Directorate.
