CLIMATE RESILIENCE & DISASTER RISK REDUCTION SPECIALIST

This dynamic role is part of our Climate, Natural Resources and Infrastructure team. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a passion for building resilience into communities, the environment, and infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  1. We are looking for an expert to conduct climate risk assessments, identifying vulnerability hotspots across diverse development contexts to inform policy and investment decisions.
  2. The ideal candidate will develop climate analysis and risk assessment tools that support data-driven decision making for climate adaptation and resilience planning.
  3. You will guide the selection and application of appropriate climate change datasets, conducting in-depth analysis of the outputs and evaluating impacts on various rural and urban landscapes, including infrastructure systems.
  4. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate findings and insights to clients, partners, and senior decision-makers in government, development finance, and the private sector.
  5. You will lead the delivery of high-quality analytical products, decision support tools, and innovative solutions to address complex climate-related social and environmental challenges.
  6. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate teams of consultants and external experts to deliver client assignments in a dynamic international environment.
  7. Another key aspect of this role is managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to tackle complex business, economic, social, and environmental challenges, focusing on Africa.
  8. You will make an active contribution to developing new business opportunities and proposal development.
  9. You will build and maintain active networks with technical partners and clients.
