Job Title: Energy Specialist

Rivoni Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced Energy Specialist to join our team in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy management, with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in monitoring and reporting on energy consumption, identifying energy saving opportunities, and implementing approved projects for gas and electricity applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage site energy, monitoring and reporting on energy consumption, identifying energy saving opportunities, and implementing approved projects for both gas and electricity applications.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of projects to achieve Group Sustainability Goals.
  • Deal externally with energy suppliers for electricity and gas.
  • Liaise with Government and other regulatory bodies, such as NERSA and the Department of Energy and Treasury.
  • Represent the company on forums, including the EIUG, Gas User Group, and the Industry Task Team for Climate Change.
  • Manage the current oxygen and nitrogen contracts.
  • Manage the High Tension and Total Motor Management teams to optimize availability and efficiency.
  • Manage the Condition Monitoring team to ensure condition monitoring reporting of critical assets to the plant and identification of Industry 4.0 projects.
