Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technician - System Operations Specialist to join our team at IOCO. As a key member of our technical staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide medium to high-level technical support on systems, hardware, and software, including onsite, remote, and telephonic support.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as a customer technical liaison, ensuring effective communication and resolution of technical issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Conduct general fault-finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain infrastructure, including fault-finding, commissioning, and project commissioning.
  • Training and Development: Provide technical training to customers and internal staff, as well as lead technical sales efforts.
  • Service Calls: Support customers with service calls, including hardware and software installation and maintenance.
  • Database Management: Assist with issues in various databases, including SQL Express.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and reporting of technical activities.
  • General Administration: Perform general administrative duties, including timesheets, documentation, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in technical support and infrastructure management.
  • Education: Gr 12 or equivalent college diploma, with a focus on electronic or electrical engineering.
  • Certifications: MCSE, N+/A+, or N.DIP Electronic/Electrical Engineering, as well as certifications in access control, time and attendance, and SQL language query.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including software installation, hardware installation, and networking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
