Job Description

**Job Title:** Inventory Management Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Principal Class Placements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of inventory, overseeing procurement of raw materials and consumables, and championing the warehousing function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accuracy and security of inventory by implementing strict procedures and safeguards to ensure accurate and complete issuing of stock is achieved in a timely manner.
  • Procurement: Oversee procurement of raw materials and consumables, including maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers, and working with the ERP system to track inventory levels and manage purchase orders.
  • Warehousing: Champion the warehousing function, working closely with production planning to ensure that picking slips for raw material and consumables are issued timely and stock is ready for use.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in stock control in a manufacturing field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of internal controls in the inventory cycle, excellent communication skills, and experience working with an ERP system.
