  • Oversee branch operations, including staff management, customer service, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with the branch manager and staff to ensure a positive work environment and smooth operation of the branch.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Tasks
  • Control and manage repairs and maintenance processes and procedures for the branch.
  • Submit daily timesheets for the branch.
  • Assist the branch manager with overseeing yard activities.
  • Ensure monthly unit inspections and stock counts are completed and submitted on time.
  • Request quotes from suppliers for maintenance or transport services.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for received quotes and submit to procurement.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure information flow.
Customer Service Focus
  • Assist with loading quotes onto Syrinx.
  • Provide excellent customer service, keeping customers informed about deliveries, collections, and maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise daily with customers to check on service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns, inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resolve queries related to invoices and statements, escalating unresolved matters.
Stock Management and Control
  • Conduct weekly stock counts of branch stores for materials, investigating discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory management for accurate tracking of stock levels and item movements.
  • Perform regular physical audits of stock and compare recorded data.
  • Send invoices to Finance for payment of suppliers after work completion.
  • Manage debtor's book to keep it current and address outstanding accounts, escalating unresolved matters.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
