Draftsperson

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and designs for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Interpret and execute work orders, sketches, and written instructions to determine job requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
• Manage and maintain updated file revisions of client parts.
• Develop and prepare detailed standardised work instructions and setup sheets.
• Process customer drawing requirements efficiently and accurately.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure drawings are correct and suitable for manufacture.
• Handle all paperwork and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between departments on current projects and requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Conceptualise and develop design ideas.
• Produce high-quality drawings and designs for fabrication.
• Ensure all drawings and work instructions are up-to-date and accurate.
• Maintain high standards of quality in products and services.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman.
• Tertiary qualification in Draughtsmanship.
• National Senior Certificate.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong spatial awareness, technical aptitude, and creative thinking.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
