About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to support the financial management of investment funds. As a detail-oriented Junior Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements for various funds.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to fund accounting activities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support in calculating Net Asset Value (NAV) for funds on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure all fund-related transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external parties to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

What You Bring

  • Completion of SAIPA Articles is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the investment management industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with fund accounting software and financial systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
