Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering draughtsperson to join our Global Design Centre (GDC) Water team in South Africa. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering project drafting output within quality, time, and budget constraints.

You will work closely with our digital delivery leads and managers to assist with digital model management and collaboration on a project basis, following approved digital management best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and generate 3D civil engineering models using Autodesk Civil 3D and InfraWorks.
  2. Create civil drawings specifically for water infrastructure projects.
  3. Understand the integration between various software applications used by multiple disciplines.
  4. Keep up-to-date with new technology and engineering modelling software.
  5. Assist with digital model management and collaboration on a project basis.
Requirements
  1. A relevant qualification in modelling or draughting is essential.
  2. At least 5 years of experience as a civil engineering draughtsperson in the civil, mining, industrial, or structural engineering fields is required.
  3. Experience in drafting and designing typical civil infrastructure is necessary.
  4. Fluency in Autodesk Civil 3D (version 2020 or later) modelling methods and drawing production outputs is essential.
  5. Capability in BIM360/ACC and ProjectWise is also required.
