Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality garment construction, alteration, and repair services. The seamstress will be responsible for working with clients to understand their needs, providing expert advice on fabric selection, and creating bespoke garments that meet their expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit of garments.
  • Ensure that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
  • Alter or repair customers' garments and other articles, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams.
  • Fitting garments on customers to determine how the alterations should be done.
  • Construct garments and other articles according to customers' specifications and preferences.
  • Label and record alterations required for customers' garments and articles.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and preferences.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience in sewing and garment construction.
  • Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Ability to safely use different types of sewing machines.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
