The key responsibilities include:

  1. Acquiring sustainable business of high quality aligned with set targets.
  2. Maintaining and servicing existing clients through long-term relationships, fostering loyalty and generating ongoing advice and sales.
  3. Ensuring all activities are conducted in a compliant and ethical manner, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the Sanlam Group business and brand.
  4. Supporting the growth of the Sanlam Adviser Business.
  5. Committed to marketing plans aimed at developing the business as outlined by the distribution strategy.
  6. Applying knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth within the defined market.
  7. Engaging in networking, prospecting, and leads generation through face-to-face interactions, social opportunities, or business associations.
  8. Prospecting new clients through various channels such as social networks, associations, or presentations.
  9. Strengthening existing relationships by increasing service levels.
  10. Utilizing existing sources to identify opportunities across Sanlam businesses.
  11. Crafting personalized client value propositions and promoting them on social media.
  12. Conducting client consultations and sales ensuring compliance with disclosures and advice given.
  13. Undertaking comprehensive fact-finding with each client to identify needs and priorities.
  14. Documenting these findings and providing sound personal financial planning advice.
  15. Presenting financial solutions to clients in a professional and competent manner aligned with Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  16. Ensuring all client interactions are ethical, courteous, and professional.
  17. Focusing on delivering excellent, value-added service to clients.
  18. Initiating long-term client relationships and maintaining a relational focus.
  19. Monitoring, updating, and reporting on contacts, appointments, and consultations.

This role requires:

  1. A Grade 12 qualification.
  2. Successful completion of Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) 'Fit and Proper' requirements and Regulatory Examination if registered with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for more than 24 months.
