Patient Access Representative Job Description for Resurgens Orthopaedics

The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Greets patients and families, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Verifies patient information and updates records as needed.
  • Schedules appointments and coordinates care with healthcare teams.
  • Collects and processes payments, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Communicates with patients and families regarding appointment details, test results, and other important information.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Completes tasks with attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Assists with administrative tasks, such as answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The physical requirements of this position require a medium physical demand level. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and constant lifting of negligible to 10 pound objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
