About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Management Professional to join our team at Capital Logistics Solutions Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective running of our logistics operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • To plan, implement, and maintain operational activities in accordance with company policies, goals, and strategic objectives. Key duties include:
  • Developing and implementing strategies for optimal fleet utilisation and route optimisation, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitoring internal operational costs, including labour, fuel, and maintenance expenses, to achieve budgeting results and other financial criteria.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational protocols, legal, health, safety, and regulatory requirements governing business operations.
  • Optimising routes and fleet utilisation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Achieving agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of business sub-systems.
  • Validating accuracy, completeness, and authorisation of the summary wage sheet.
  • Implementing performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and recruitment processes for continuous improvement in performance and career progression.
  • Supporting adherence to transformation plans through involvement in recruitment, promotion, and succession processes, along with action plans.
  • Preparing for disciplinary inquiries and grievances, ensuring consistent application according to company processes and procedures through HR involvement.
  • Creating and maintaining a work environment that promotes diversity, open communication, fairness, and consistency.
  • Proactively addressing issues impacting employee morale, retention, and performance.
  • Implementing and ensuring effective employee engagement and communication on a continuous basis.
  • Ensuring document control processes and templates are in place.
  • Counseling direct reports towards continuous performance improvement and execution of leadership promises.
  • Conducting monthly Health Checks and facilitating improvements month-over-month.
  • Leading by example regarding behavioural actions and ensuring adherence to company values. Correcting behaviour of subordinates as necessary.
  • Instilling, monitoring, and enforcing a culture of risk awareness that supports action plan activities to eliminate risks.
  • Ensuring implementation of and adherence to risk protocols.
  • Facilitating continuous performance improvement against operational KPIs through continuous alignment of actual performance to targets using formal performance management processes and meetings.
  • Implementing innovative action steps to address underperformance against KPIs.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through adherence to delivery plans, establishment of sound client relationships, and overall achievement of agreed service levels.
  • Supporting local corporate social investment projects in line with company plans and policies.
