Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Programme Officer to lead the communication and outreach workstream of our activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive communication strategy, disseminating critical information to stakeholders, and supporting digital promotion and visibility strategies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategy: Design and implement a tailored communication strategy to meet the programme's objectives and activities.
- Disseminate Critical Information: Effectively disseminate critical information to stakeholders through various channels.
- Enhance Digital Presence: Support the team in enhancing the visibility of outreach strategies and promoting digital engagement.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in communication strategy and public relations, with the ability to support the development and execution of communication initiatives.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital communication tools, content creation, and social media management.
- Education and Experience: A Master's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, with two years of progressive professional experience in Public Health, Institutional Development, or Social Development within public sector institutions or similar organizations at the national, regional, or continental level.
What We Offer:
The African Union Development Agency provides a competitive remuneration package, including an indicative basic salary of US$35,044.83 per annum, post adjustment, housing allowance, and gratuity, in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff.
