About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic self-starter approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders.

The primary objective of this role is to identify and engage stakeholders, gather and document business requirements. Our team provides innovative and customer-focused payment solutions for both banked and unbanked individuals across Southern Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage Stakeholders: Identify and engage with relevant parties in the business to gather requirements.
  2. Document Requirements: Document business requirements and act as the custodian of artifacts.
  3. Process Improvement: Manage end-to-end process to include stakeholder review and obtain sign-off.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Provide ongoing feedback to stakeholders utilizing various communication platforms.
  5. Translate Requirements: Translate business requirements into requirements and plans for software developers.
  6. Gather Procedures: Gather and document operational procedures, process flows, and reporting requirements.
  7. Manage Change: Maintain and manage changes to requirements during a project phase.
  8. Collaborate with PMO: Work closely within PMO to support priority projects and manage backlog grooming.
  9. Review BA Processes: Review BA Process and Tools and make changes for efficiency improvements.
  10. Support Testing: Support UAT and testing requirements.
  11. Monitor Solutions: Ongoing monitoring and re-calibration of deployed solutions.
Requirements
  1. Business Analysis Experience: 5-8 years' experience in the payments/financial industry.
  2. Technical Skills: Full understanding of the Microsoft suite, Draw.IO, Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the end-to-end payments environment (retailers, digital, banking, card schemes, EFT, settlement, acquiring, etc.) would be highly beneficial.
  4. Self-Starter: Self-starter that is able to work individually as well as in teams.
  5. Excellent Communication: Ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders to include senior management and software developers.
  6. Driver's License: Driver's license.
  7. Linguistic Skills: Fluent in English and ideally Afrikaans.
