Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Education and isiZulu Language Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students, providing instruction in a variety of subjects, and collaborating with colleagues to develop rigorous and engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons to students in isiZulu (FAL) and PE, depending on the grade level and timetable.
  • Provide instruction in a variety of subjects and develop engaging lesson plans and resources.
  • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop individualized behavior and learning plans for all students.
  • Lead weekly SEL (Social Emotional Learning) circles and implement the SPARK Schools Social Emotional Learning curriculum.
  • Use SPARK culture and implement behavior management strategies.
  • Administer and mark weekly and termly formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
  • Submit student results data when required.
  • Attend pre-service professional development and weekly professional development sessions.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • B.Ed. degree or PGCE - Intermediate/Senior Phase with isiZulu as a Major Subject.
  • Certification through the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
  • English and isiZulu languages fluency.
  • Clear/Clean Criminal record.
