Job Title: Cost and Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost and Management Accountant to join our team at Helderberg Personnel cc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Costing and Standard Setting: Develop and maintain accurate product costing models and standards to ensure optimal pricing and profitability.
  • Cost Accounts, Performance Measurement and Reporting: Analyze and report on cost accounts, performance metrics, and variances to inform business decisions.
  • Stock Control: Reconcile and review all stock movement, monitor slow-moving stock, and plan and schedule physical stock taking activities.
  • Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Assets Register, check accuracy of depreciation and wear and tear allowance calculations, and oversee asset verification.
  • Budgeting: Prepare forecasts, analyze variances between forecast and budget, and present final budgets to management.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Conduct reviews, redesign, and improve management information and performance measurement systems as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cost and Management Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost and Management Accountant in manufacturing
  • Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Integrity and ability to handle confidential information
