Overview: Arvo is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Expert to join our team in George, Western Cape.

Salary: R700k - R1m per annum (CTC).

Job Description: As an Accounting Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording, reporting, and management of financial information. This includes preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.">
  • Manage and process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.">
  • Reconcile General Ledger control accounts.">
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights to management.">
  • Maintain the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.">
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation, re-estimates, reconciliations, additions, and disposals.">
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing tax returns as needed.">
  • Support internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.">
  • Monitor and report on company expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.">
  • Ensure financial transactions and processes comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.">
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions and projects.">

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Syspro and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous.">
