We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in fire design to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working on fire protection projects.
Main Responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience:
- BEng (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mechanical building services environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection design as per SANS standards, including firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation, stair pressurization, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Proficiency in fire safety design software is a significant advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Driven individual seeking challenging project experience.
- Working towards or already registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
