Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Technical Accountant to assist in the implementation of IFRS 17, prepare commission and broker reports, reconcile premium and claims bank accounts, and support the team with other tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Implement IFRS 17 in line with regulatory requirements
  • Process commission and broker reports accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure reconciliation of premium and claims bank accounts
  • Respond to insurer and broker queries promptly and professionally
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or relevant field
  • Preferred: SAICA / SAIPA qualification
  • Essential: Experience with IFRS 17, including implementation and technical accounting
  • Technical accounting skills and knowledge of insurance regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with SAP and FAC an added advantage
