Taxation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Tax Practitioner to join our team at West Coast Personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Act, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a tax and accounting environment.

As a Tax Practitioner, you will be responsible for completing and submitting Trust, Individual, and Company income tax returns, evaluating and checking tax assessments, and managing various tax-related tasks. You will also be required to correspond with SARS consultants, manage tax return queries, and adhere to SARS procedures and deadlines.

• Income Tax Returns: Complete and submit Trust, Individual, and Company income tax returns, taking into account all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Evaluating Assessments: Evaluate and check tax assessments, identifying and correcting any errors, and ensuring compliance with SARS procedures.
• SARS Correspondence: Correspond with SARS consultants and manage tax return queries, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Problem Solving: Address tax-related issues and queries, providing effective solutions and ensuring that all clients are satisfied with the outcome.
• Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding their tax matters, providing regular updates and ensuring that all clients are informed of any changes or developments.
• Team Support: Support other members of the department as needed, providing assistance and guidance to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Act, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a tax and accounting environment. You should also have a degree in Accounting, Tax, or equivalent qualification, and be a Registered Tax Practitioner.
