Job Summary

Merand Corbett & Associates seeks a highly skilled Strategic Financial Leader to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth through financial analysis and planning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the company's annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Manage cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders in making informed decisions.
  • Analyze financial statements to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place to prevent financial mismanagement and fraud.
  • Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including the board of directors, management, and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Hold a CTA (completed articles) or CA (SA) qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of management experience, with at least 1 year in a similar role.
  • Be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Clearing and Forwarding industry.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with MS Office, MIS, and Pastel.
