**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at CodeConnect Staffing (Pty) Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned developer with expertise in Golang and backend development to work on impactful projects in the medical devices industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality systems using reusable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Project Leadership: Lead the application lifecycle, including planning, development, and maintenance, creating user stories, estimates, and project plans.
  • Testing & Debugging: Ensure thorough testing, performance benchmarking, and issue resolution across interconnected systems.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Manage DevOps processes and Infrastructure as Code, ensuring smooth deployments and system integrations.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with team members and stakeholders, mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth.
  • Compliance & Quality Management: Ensure that all products meet regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FDA, CE, ISO) and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Essential Technical Skills: API development, Microservices, SQL, Golang, Docker, AWS/Azure, CI/CD, and debugging across multiple systems.
  • Desirable Skills: NoSQL and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
  • Education: Certificate in Programming (essential), Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (desirable).
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant software development experience.

Work Environment:

Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum.
