Job Description

This is a key leadership role responsible for the development and implementation of category management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail merchandising, with experience in managing teams and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category management strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Manage a team of buying and planning specialists to ensure effective range planning, stock management, and supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform category strategies and optimize product ranges.

Requirements:

  • 3-year tertiary degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or related field.
  • 5-8 years' experience in retail merchandising, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in managing a team.
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
