Pharmacist - Randridge

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join their team in Randridge. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients, dispensing medications, and ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions.

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including evaluating their medicine-related needs and determining the indication, safety, and effectiveness of therapy.
• Dispense medications and scheduled substances on prescription, and sign off and check prescriptions prepared by assistants or interns.
• Furnish information and advice to patients regarding the use of medicine, and determine patient compliance with therapy.
• Provide pharmacist-initiated therapy, compound, manipulate, prepare, or package medicines, and supervise these activities.
• Purchase, acquire, import, keep, possess, use, release, store, package, re-package, supply, or sell medicines, and supervise these activities.
• Apply for the registration of medicines in accordance with the Medicines Act and Pharmacy Act, and perform acts specially pertaining to the profession of a pharmacist.

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification or equivalent.
• BPharm or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in pharmaceutical retail pharmacy.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office.

• Strong command of the English language and a second language.
• Good communication skills, listening, and customer service focus.
• Ability to train other staff members and lead by example.
• Conflict management, problem-solving, and team player skills.

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
